Lee will be having a one man show of about 35 oils and watercolors at the Artworks Around Town gallery in Wheeling WV. The show opens April 2 and runs until April 30, 2010.  See 

Lee was invited to a special theme exhibit at Tamarack –“Coal - A Legacy” and four new works are on exhibit  in the gallery until Nov. 28, 2009. See Watercolors Gallery, works #09.018,  09.019, 09.020, and 09.021.  Coal mining is the major industry in West Virginia and has a colorful history. 

Lee was invited to have a one man painting exhibit at Washington State Community College ( in Marietta,Ohio. Twenty nine watercolors and oils are displayed in the Arts and Sciences building from Oct.10 to Nov. 20, 2009.

Lee’s Canaan Marsh won an Award of Merit ($200) at the West Virginia Watercolor Society’s 25th Anniversary Traveling Show. Also Woods Walk was accepted into this juried exhibit.  The exhibit starts in Clarksburg, then moves to Parkersburg, Wheeling and Charleston throughout 2009. Lee’s oil painting September Hay won an honorable mention award at the Southern Hills show, Cantor’s Cave Ohio, in October 2008.  This painting was also accepted in the Best Of West Virginia Show at Tamarack in July-August 2009.

The watercolor Germany Valley West Virginia won the Sponsor’s Award ($100) at the Parkersburg Art Center Regional show.     

Lee belongs to an informal painting group called the Complein Air Painters

Lee has paintings in the sales gallery of the Parkersburg WV Art Center. 

Lee had two works in the Fourth Annual Arts For Small Spaces benefit auction show at the Willow Tree Gallery in Idaho Falls, Idaho. The paintings had to be only 2 by 3 ˝ inches…i.e. standard business card size.

His work is also for sale at Tamarack in Beckley, WV.
